As time goes by, it is a completely natural process to lose one or more teeth. However, this does not mean that anyone has to accept a missing or incomplete set of teeth. The specialists at Dental 13, located in Budapest’s 13th district, offer several pain-free replacement solutions, including dental implants, which are considered one of the most advanced options worldwide.
It is important to emphasize that we provide Western European–level care not only for Hungarian patients but also for foreign residents, at exactly the same prices. We never differentiate between patients; our only goal is to treat each dental problem at the highest professional standard. Feel free to contact us with confidence.
One of the most common, though admittedly somewhat outdated, solutions in case of tooth loss is placing a crown or a bridge. Its advantages include good aesthetics, comfort, and the fact that it takes up exactly the same amount of space in the mouth as the original teeth. It can also be completed relatively quickly. However, in order to secure the prosthesis, the healthy neighboring teeth must be ground down and prepared, which inevitably causes damage to otherwise intact teeth.
To avoid these disadvantages, we increasingly use highly durable, premium-quality dental implants. The implant is placed directly into the site of the missing tooth, looks just like a natural tooth, and offers a long-lasting solution. Although this technology is more expensive and requires more time to complete, its quality is unmatched—and most importantly, there is no need to alter healthy teeth.

Removable dentures are also a widely used solution. These take up more space in the mouth because the so-called base plate, which provides support, must be extended beyond the natural position of the teeth. They can be attached to remaining healthy teeth without causing damage. A clear advantage is that they can be completed within two to three weeks. However, they may move, shift, or even come loose, food can get stuck under or around them, and they must be removed for proper cleaning.
Dental implants provide a modern, high-quality solution in these cases as well. With the placement of two to four implants, a removable denture can be securely supported, while four to six implants make it possible to create a fixed bridge, allowing for full-arch rehabilitation. The former is known as a bar-retained (steg) solution, while the latter is the now widely recognized ALL-ON-X fixed bridge system.
Our experienced team of specialists and dental assistants, all of whom speak excellent English, is supported by the latest digital technologies. With digital treatment planning, intraoral scanners, and 3D CBCT imaging, we can now create a precise digital representation of the mouth and dentition. This allows us to design dental implant restorations that are highly accurate, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing. Implant dentistry has become significantly easier and more precise. The margin for error has been reduced to an absolute minimum: the exact position, size, angle, and insertion depth of an implant can be planned with micrometer-level accuracy. Even dynamic bite registration is possible, as multiple bite positions can be recorded using digital scanners.
All of this takes place with full patient information and involvement. The entire process can be followed in color and in 3D, and image acquisition does not cause unpleasant or anxiety-inducing sensations such as gagging.
Complete safety, professional expertise, long-term solutions, predictable treatment processes, and transparent costs — no one has to pay more simply because they are staying in Hungary temporarily or living here as a foreign resident. Follow-up care and full control examinations are equally provided to everyone.
This is what Dental 13, located in Budapest’s 13th district, offers to both Hungarian and foreign patients alike.
